This
website is part of a three-stage learning experience that I have been
developing over several years. It is for people who like to travel thoughtfully, both inwardly and outwardly.
Each stage is designed to support individuals in their efforts to be independent good thinkers, productive life-long learners, confident civic participants, and wonderful human beings. Much of the first stage is free of charge. It is offered to you as part of the Global Perpetual Festival of Literacy and Understanding. As you begin the first stage of this learning experience, you will find that it is appropriate for children and adolescents as well as adults. It is about having fun in thoughtful ways, whatever your age. Success at the second and third stages requires little more than a mature outlook and a wide range of life experiences. How do you reflect upon your relationship with time?
Making the most of this learning experience begins by
taking your time,
breathing gently, looking after
yourself - and, most importantly, being yourself.
The camaggi.com
home
page is certainly
enough on its own for
most people's first visit here - as you
will soon discover...
How much time will you allocate to your learning experiences at camaggi.com? To give you some idea of how
much time might be needed for a thorough preliminary understanding of
my words - and perhaps even of your own mind - twenty-four (separate)
hours here at camaggi.com is usually all that it
takes. By then, most people seem to have a beginning level of awareness of what I mean by considerate democracy and sustainable living - mainly by recognising how and why the two concepts are intertwined. In your explorations of camaggi.com, you'll discover more about the training, research and creative possibilities offered through this website, and gain some insights into the Global Perpetual Festival of Literacy and Understanding. How might you contribute to knowledge about sustainable living and considerate democracy?
There is plenty of
information elsewhere online about most aspects
of sustainable
living. This current scroll will
therefore
introduce you primarily to the practical features of considerate democracy.
In today's world, considerate democracy is the most important component of sustainable living.
The intermediate, "open-access but
password-protected" areas of camaggi.com (introduced earlier) usually
require
between thirty and fifty one-hour visits to complete.
During the middle stage of training, you will perhaps have the opportunity to experience an essential and thorough grounding for the expression of considerate democracy in your life - in intelligently critical, compassionate, creative and sustainable ways.
To teach in any way, using camaggi.com, requires
completion of a
process of assessment and licensing. By exploring this home page you can
learn more about what is involved.
How I attempt to support
your learning
You might be pleased to know that I currently allow each of
camaggi.com's
visitors to save a copy of this home page for their own private
study
purposes, in a personal home computer, for up to 30
days.
Other html pages from camaggi.com should not be copied, especially as the content changes very frequently. I like to edit my writings as often as possible to ensure their accuracy. Like the rest of this website, my home page is constantly being updated. In view of this, please remember to delete this page from your computer files within 30 days and then use the updated copy. Thank you. There are a few pdf
files that you may
encounter during your explorations of camaggi.com. These may
be copied and shared in printed form, as long as the
content is not changed in any way. The purpose of those documents
is to support
your
practical involvement in the development of considerate democracy.
Time to relax... For someone who is
serious about gaining a deeper understanding of the relationship
between sustainable living and considerate democracy,
the reflective processes
will probably
add quite considerably to the time it takes to read each page
here. This especially applies to the scroll you are now
experiencing.
As already mentioned, there are many websites that explore ideas about
sustainable living. However,
most of the people who maintain those sites forget to mention anything
at all about considerate
democracy.
Here at camaggi.com, I hope to redress the balance - and I also hope that you will really enjoy your journeys through my very colourful home page, and beyond.
You already know that the pace you set yourself here is up to you. If you are wondering what to expect, you'll discover a lot more as you continue this gentle scroll down your screen. * How to be a successful student and practitioner I hope you will relax and enjoy reflecting on your thoughts as you continue this gentle scroll down your screen... |

You
are invited to answer the reflective questions posed
throughout camaggi.com.
What does it mean
to reflect on ethics and morality? Do you believe that
consideration is the basis of a mutually acceptable social life? You have already been introduced to some ideas about a considerately democratic relationship between yourself, as a visitor to this website, and myself, as its author and publisher. Review your understanding here. What does being considerate mean to you? How do you express consideration in your life? How considerate are you towards yourself?
How do you put
consideration into practice? There are many simple, easy-to-learn activities that can provide a fair and realistic approach to the natural, personal, cultural, social and political worlds. One such activity is the reflective approach to thinking and making decisions that I have already introduced. For example, as a considerately democratic person yourself, you might frequently reflect upon your understanding of, and answers to, the following questions: What
does
it mean to be friendly?
What does it mean to think well? What does it mean to act well? What is your relationship with time? How to make the most of your learning experiences here at camaggi.com: Step One
Identify the ideas that you believe to be your most
important
thoughts. Write about those thoughts on some scrap
paper. If you are unsure
about what your most important thoughts and beliefs might be, some
generally helpful
preliminary
questions are here.
Step
Two
Step Three Sequentially number the envelopes and write a note on each, to indicate the page of camaggi.com to which your response refers, the topic and section in question, and the date of your reflections. Step Four Put the envelopes into a cardboard box (perhaps one with just a slot in the top or side, like a post box) and keep the box somewhere near to your most valuable material possessions - to ensure that your thoughts will not become lost! Discover more about
the reflective learning process: The best time to open the first envelope will be a couple of weeks after you receive a camaggi.com open-access travel password - preferably just after you have repeated the process of reflecting on, and writing about, the topic in question. Open one more envelope each time you complete another hour here. You might find it useful to refer to at least one concise, introductory book about the theoretical foundations of considerate democracy. Between visits to camaggi.com, examine the environment in which you live, to identify the factual extent of considerate democracy as observed through your daily interactions and observations. If you are already feeling confident about your own understanding of considerate democracy...
There
is certainly plenty to think about!
|
| To introduce you very
gently to the course,
there
are no formal examinations or assessments during the first stage, so
please relax and make yourself comfortable.
Some readers will find the language used at camaggi.com to be very simple while others are likely to have a few difficulties understanding some of my expressions. This is just a fact of the cultural diversity of human existence. A dictionary may be useful here, though I aim to keep jargon to a minimum. My writing style is usually appropriate for people with many different levels of educational attainment, from upper primary students to university post-graduates. How could you improve the way you
think about your abilities and potential? Whatever your current age,
if you are a person of average
intelligence, with an
interest in lifelong
learning, and with a fairly well-developed
understanding
of written English, you should complete the basic,
introductory, online sections of the course quite
quickly.
If English is not your first language, or not your language at all, an electronic translator might be useful, though please keep in mind that it may not interpret my words particularly accurately. Whenever you have any difficulties understanding my words, and especially if you might think that some of the content of this website is too advanced for you, please do not feel too concerned... Friendly,
confidential assistance is available
(currently mainly in English), on request Much of it is free of charge! What are some of the easiest ways for most people to understand what considerate democracy is all about? You might like to answer that rather long question in practical ways, perhaps, for example, by letting
me know if you find my work elsewhere online, or on paper. It will show that you respect my intellectual, literary and privacy rights.
This website is a learning tool for me, as well as for visitors here. My home page introduces just a few of the moral and ethical aspects of considerate democracy. One very important example is here. As long as the copyright notices and other guidelines within camaggi.com are respected, the main results of my research will continue to be available through the first two levels of this website - without fees or similarly excluding restrictions. Before
continuing your scroll,
think about the meaning of considerate democracy in relation to your life... |
|
Are you feeling that: This
course might be too
advanced for you?
You already know enough about considerate democracy? This course is exactly what you have been looking for? Exploring your mind is a boring experience? Exploring your mind is an exciting experience? Exploring your mind is a frustrating experience? Exploring your mind is a relaxing experience? You are unsure if your mind even exists? If
you wish to tell me your views,
you are welcome to provide more than one answer! |
|
Please don't
worry if something here does not make sense during your
initial reading. It should fit together in your thoughts later -
if you allow your unconscious mind the time and space it needs to do
its
work.
If
anything on this home page
still does not make sense to you after a week or so has passed, just let me know and I'll try to assist you Before contacting me,
think about whether there is a problem with my reasoning, or your
own. Think about whether you have misinterpreted my words.
Are there linguistic challenges here, and if so, what might they be?
What are your emotional responses to my words and their presentation on your screen? If you disagree with anything I have expressed here as fact, where is the evidence to substantiate your disagreement? What is the best way to enjoy
your time here at camaggi.com? There are no requirements to reveal
anything about your
identity while you sit there looking at the computer screen in front of
you, exploring basic ideas about
sustainable living and considerate democracy.
If you find anything at all useful or interesting or enjoyable in this website, please let me know. The same applies if you find anything confusing, distressing or dull. I aim to meet all readers' needs to the best of my ability. You will find my contact details further down this home page, though in the meantime there will be plenty of important ideas for you to explore. Before
continuing your scroll,
please pause to reflect upon why you think and act as you do... |

BEGINNING SECTION B Democracy
without ideology -
is it really possible? |
|
The
main purpose of my own writing, research and educational activities is
to
enhance understanding.
Would you like to use
this website
as a research or study tool? You may like to use camaggi.com for
formal research or study purposes, or seek some
individual guidance from me about
a considerately democratic approach to
your own investigations. If so, it might be best to begin by
completing the
first two
levels of
the course I am introducing here.
By visiting camaggi.com for a couple of one-hour sessions each week over twelve weeks, you will also begin to have a basic understanding of the research I have been conducting, and about my findings. Would you like to use
information from this website in a media context?
If you would like to quote from, or comment upon, this
website in any media context, whether in the popular, community or
academic traditions,
a sufficient understanding of my ideas and
methods will probably require completion of at least the first two
levels of the course about
considerate democracy.
How much
do you
understand
about your own needs, and about your social relationships? |
|
Supporting mental well-being
and social harmony The relationship
between you and
the words you are now scrolling through may contribute towards shaping
a wonderful future.
This home page is, after all, about democracy - potentially the most inclusive way for humans to meet their needs. |

|
* Understanding humanity |

|
As
already mentioned,
your initial interactions with
camaggi.com will probably be enhanced if they are fairly relaxed
and informal.
A relaxed and informal approach may assist in making the process of reflection and learning both gentle and intelligent - towards yourself and towards other people. Much of the rest
of this page
is devoted to the above topic How do you express
respect for reasonable limits? As the author of the camaggi.com home page, I would like its readers to reflect upon how they usually interact with someone whose way of life, age, temperament, educational attainment, cultural and material acquisitions, personal experiences, health needs, and points of view, may, or may not, be similar to their own. So far on this journey, you
have been provided with a few insights into how I
prefer to interact
with people.
How considerately democratic do you believe my approach to be? What have been your emotional reactions to the direct and open style of many of the questions already posed here? How
much do you know about
your own needs, policies, values and communications preferences? Respecting your mind Please relax, dear visitor - I am not really asking
you to
tell me your answers to most of the questions here (though you
are welcome to provide/request assistance and/or participate in the
interactive opportunities offered
through this
website).
Direct
questioning rarely leads
to accurate, straightforward answers! Your beliefs
are your own property - and I am usually far too busy to reflect on the
mind of anyone other than myself (except on a professional
basis).
If anyone else asks for your views, what might be their reasons for doing so? Is their questioning for your benefit, for their own, or for the benefit of others? Is their questioning of mutual benefit, leading to mutual understanding? Although I
consider myself
to be quite a friendly person, I also like
being a rather private one.
This is especially so in relation to the time and space needed for thinking in a reflective way about considerate democracy. You will find no images of me within this website. Nor are there many direct indications of my physical characteristics. You will, however, learn more about my reasoning for this as you explore camaggi.com. Even though I
do not use my full name
or first name here, you might be the sort of person who
would feel better
by thinking of me as having a courtesy title. The one I prefer is
"Persona", as in Persona C A Maggi or Persona Maggi, or even Persona C
A. But that is not at all essential.
What I really do hope is that you will find camaggi.com to be interesting, useful and enjoyable - today, tomorrow, and forever... |

|
What sorts of questions have you
already been
asking yourself during this scroll? Which answers are you
seeking, and why?
As
you explore camaggi.com, you will find that although it may look quite
complicated on a superficial level, it really has just a simple, linear
structure,
with a variety of colour-coded detours along the way.
There are several directions you may choose to follow within this website, though they are not meant to confuse you (even if you have some experience of colour blindness). Recommendations
I usually recommend circular journeys here at camaggi.com as these enable the mind to
become aware of its own development. They also prevent the reader
from becoming lost or confused.
Allow your own self-awareness to map out a route that is right for
you. If you feel at all tired or overwhelmed or distracted, it is
much better to pause than continue.
Come back to this page whenever you think the links, or your daily activities, are taking you away from your goal. Do you already have a learning goal in mind? If so, what might it be? Progressing through the course
You
will need to obtain one type of password or another to visit many of
the detour pages here, though "open-access
travel passwords" are currently freely available, with very few restrictions,
to anyone who is attempting to understand considerate democracy,
wherever such people may be in the world.
If you have obtained access through such links without a password,
please let me know. It is very important that I
learn how to fix any
technical problems associated with this website.
Maintaining camaggi.com myself is one of the ways in which I ensure that my work remains totally independent. Without the passwords, my website will probably be ineffective as a learning tool, for you and for me, meaning that I might as well do something else with my time!
Clicking one of the
following
links may help you to review your knowledge of considerate
democracy. However, if this is your first visit to
camaggi.com,
scrolling may greatly enhance your awareness of my reasoning - and
perhaps even improve your understanding of considerate
democracy (which may already be much greater than my own).
The decision on what to do
is up to you!
